Feast Day: March 24
Patron Saint of Miscarriages
St. Catherine of Sweden, Patron Saint of Miscarriages, was born around 1330 and died in 1381. She was the daughter of St. Bridget (Birgitta) of Sweden and is celebrated for her virtuous life, including her vow of continence and deep spiritual connection with her mother. After her husband's death, Catherine devoted her life to the Church, undertaking pilgrimages and managing the convent of the Order of the Holy Savior, founded by her mother. Catherine is especially venerated by those who have suffered miscarriages, seeking her intercession for comfort and healing. Her sanctity was recognized through her unwavering faith, service to the Church, and compassionate care for others, leading to her canonization as a model of Christian virtue and maternal care.
